[ISO/IEC_JTC1/SC17/WG8] Message #324: Updated organisational
information regarding the Paris meetings
Dear members of WG8 and WG8 Task Forces,
in order to avoid any confusion about how to
register for the WG8 and TFs meetings I provide you in the following
with an updated information related to N 1220 R1 and to our former WG8
messages. Reason to do so is a similar message from SC17 Secretary
Freda Bennett to the WG Conveners, which has led me to slight
modifications to what was told you earlier.
1) WG8 and TFs Delegates
wishing to attend some or all of those meetings please send an e-mail
to Freda Bennett (freda.bennett@apacs.org.uk) and
to WG8's Secretary Béla Gipp (office@wg8.de)
for registration, and please DO NOT E-MAIL TO Catherine Protic, being
the host for us all, because she will get the attendance lists anyway
from the WG Secretaries and from Freda. Those delegates, who have
already sent such message, please do not send it again. You are already
considered in the WG8 & TFs attendance list.
2) The
e-mail for registration should contain the following:
which meeting of the following
- WG8/TF2
(2006-09-21/22+25/27)
- WG8/TF4 (2006-09-27)
-
WG8 (2006-09-28/29)
your will attend and on which days of those.
Further you please provide your
- first name
- last name
- country which you represent
Please indicate also, whether you plan to
attend the cocktail/dinner event, for which the host is kindly inviting
WG8 and TFs delegates and will be on the
28th of September, from 7 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. Also indicate whether you
will bring with you one more guest for that event. If so, also provide
the name of that guest (this is for security purpose).
The received registration e-mail from you
will lead to an update of the WG8 & TFs attendance list, which is retrievable from the WG8 Members's Homepage (http://wg8.de/secure/index.html)
or directly by clicking:
This link and the file name will be kept equal,
even if updates will replace a former version. The list itself contains
version no. and date.
3) In addition to item 1) and
2) please make sure that your National Body informs Freda Bennett via
e-mail of your intended participation to one or several or all of the
above mentioned meetings, because all delegates must be nominated by
their national bodies.
4) The Form for the SC17
Cocktail Part/Dinner (for which also WG8 related delegates are invited)
which can be found in SC17 N 3030 = WG8 N 1220 R1 should be completed
and returned to Catherine Protic and copied to Freda Bennett as per the
instructions on the form.
5) The delegates should draw attention on the following
points:
- they should have their convocation when arrive at
AFNOR
- they should take care about the timing and
particularly the start of the meeting (there are code to access to
meeting rooms, It will not be possible to welcome delegates earlier
than 15-30 minutes before the official start of the meeting
- AFNOR is open start 8.30 to 18h30
- each member will have access via a badge which is
to be kept during the meetings.
6) Wireless Internet access
is provided inside the meeting rooms. As the access is not provided by
AFNOR itself, login data have to be bought within the AFNOR building
for a reasonable price.
